Working with Emedica

A Company Spotlight

For almost 15 years I have been providing communication skills training to medical professionals. This takes the form of clinical simulation in educational institutes, bespoke workshops designed by myself, workshops for study groups, one to one tuition, both in person and online, but also exam preparation courses. One company I am proud to have worked with on these is Emedica, who build the communication skills of GP applicants.

Emedica offers training courses preparing candidates for, amongst other things, the GP Stage Three Assessment, and this course is second to none.
Having worked with Emedica for over four years, I can attest to the quality of the team they have put together. You’ll get a good feel for what this course includes and how well received it is from the video to the right but a few of the key points of the course are,

  • Complete preparation for the Stage 3 assessments in 2019
  • Covers all 4 stations for Stage 3 – course covers all aspects of the new format
  • Written Prioritisation – theory + mock exam
  • Simulated Consultations – all 3 types covered
  • Mock simulated consultations with professional actors
  • Individual feedback on consultations with tips on what YOU need to work on
  • 9.30am – 6.25pm
  • CPD – 7 hours / 7 Credits

Online resources can also be bundled in with the course for at home learning.

In addition to the Stage 3 course, work on Emedica’s CSA courses, which cover a wide range of exam scenario role-plays, and I am available for one to one sessions through Emedica. These give 2 1/4 hours of dedicated, face to face tuition and exam tips for £325 (these sessions are also available online via Skype for added convenience at the same price).

For a full understanding of what Emedica have to offer, you can visit their website, www.emedica.co.uk.

I have scored 51/52 in my interview. I would really like to thank my 1:1 trainer Ed Keneddy as he pointed out what I was doing wrong and the tweaks I needed to ace the best results. He was very kind and helped me improve without losing my confidence.
